Restoring youth and volume

If you would like plumper, fresher and more youthful looking cheeks, the use of one of our FDA approved dermal fillers is an effective way to restore youth and volume to your face, without the need for surgery.

Ageing can take its toll on our face and cheeks can begin to sag and droop from loss of elasticity, making us look tired and sometimes older than we actually are.

Changes in the deeper layers of our skin also contribute to the signs of ageing coupled with the degeneration of the bone and soft tissues particularly in the mid-face leading to the loss in definition of the cheeks and flattening of facial features.

Hyaluronic acid (HA)

Cheek enhancement is a straightforward, instant anti-ageing treatment that works to replace lost volume to the cheeks using natural dermal fillers such as Juvederm Voluma™ and Restylane™ which are smooth injectable gels made from a natural complex sugar called Hyaluronic acid (HA) and are the thickest of their kind from the Juvederm ranges.

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in human skin and can also assist in skin hydration by attracting and holding water. These dermal fillers have been specifically formulated to be used deep into the skin to add natural looking volume and definition to your mid-face and cheekbone areas. The result is an immediately softer, refreshed and more youthful appearance that can last between 12-24 months, depending on which dermal filler is used.

More FAQs

What will treatment involve?

Dr Rikin will inject the filler (in small quantities) into the areas where you have lines/wrinkles or indents. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes with instant effects.

How do Dermal Fillers work?

HA (Hyaluronic acid) within the Injectable filler gel adds volume to the skin. This plumps and hydrates the skin giving it more volume, but also improving the surface of the skin. Dermal fillers can be used for all different types of facial wrinkles and folds, with more filler being used depending on the individual. This treatment is effective at treating marionette lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds around the cheeks, lines around the eyes or adding volume to the lips.

What is the treatment result?

Reduces the appearance of wrinkles and lines through an immediately noticeable effect. Most patients need one treatment and the results last from 9-12 months.

Safe?

Dermal Fillers are very safe when carried out by a professional like Dr Rikin. The HA gel is completely natural and is actually re absorbed by the body over time.

What are the possible side effects?

Side effects are temporary including swelling, and some redness. Depending on the individual these can last 48 hours or be almost non-existent.

Not suitable

You should not have fillers if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Recovery Time

Almost instantly, some swelling and redness may take 12-48 hours to disappear.

Aftercare

Be gentle when washing the treatment area. Refrain from touching or rubbing the treatment area for 12 hours.

Avoid subjecting the treatment area to other aesthetic treatments. Use of Sunbeds or Saunas is not recommended for 48 hours post treatment due to risk of infection.
